Neurosurgery Party

Yesterday, me, my mom, and Shannon went to a party at CHOC. It was for the kids who had had neurosurgeries this year with Dr. Loudon and Dr. Muhonen. Well anyway, Shannon and I got to pick out a gift from a very very large pile. I got the game, Mouse Trap. I had wanted it since I was little. Although Dr. Muhonen was sad to part with it. : ) We had lunch, and played games. Shannon got her face painted, and I won a beanie baby. It was funny because Dr. Loudon looked like a german elf. He was wearing leiderhosen and a small pointy green hat with pointy ears.

It was nice to see Jody and Myrlee since I haven't seen them in a while. (Which I guess is a good thing since it means I haven't been in the hospital in a couple months.)

Dear Moose Girl,

You always wanted the game "Mousetrap"? You used to have it till some of the 17,384 pieces disappeared and it wouldn't work anymore. Anyhow, I'll take you on when I get home.
Loads of Love,

Hi Kelly,

Your party looks like it was a lot of fun. Your doctor makes a great elf. Have fun with "Mousetrap."

Hi Kelly!
It sure is good to hear about the fun things you are doing this month! I like the photo of Dr. Louden in his elf outfit! But where was Dr. Muhonen's? Tell Shannon her face painting makes her look like a snow fairy! Can't wait to see you all! We'll be the ones in the van that's about an inch from the ground - we're trying to bring everything but the kitchen sink I think!
Love & hugs to you and the whole family!!

Hi Kelly,
So glad you're enjoying all the fun festivities! We love the photos once again! We didn't realize elves could be so tall! :)

Well, it finally feels like Christmas here in Central Florida--it was actually COLD this morning and we had to turn the heat on tonight!! It's dropped down into the low 40's, feels like low 30's with the windchill!

Have a wonderful week! i know you have a lot of fun plans ahead of you! Enjoy!

Counting down the days until we see you! 7!!

Love,

Hi Kelly!
Jenna and I wanted to tell you that you've never been far from us in either thought or prayer. Your party looked like so much fun although I've never seen such a skinny, tall elf! We check in here often to see how you're doing...glad to see you're as spunky as ever! Jenna just finished performing last night in the Nutcracker at Saddleback College. They did 6 performances this year and she was excited that she was Arabian, Merliton, and Spanish soloist and also Moor Doll. I always loved watching you and your sisters dance together! Tell your mom and dad I said hi and that I send my best wishes and prayers your way! Merry Christmas to you all...Love,
Jenny Wong

Hi Kelly, I am a friend of your Aunt Denise and I am also a cancer survivor like you are. I know it's not easy to go through all of the chemo. You are a very stong, brave young woman and are an inspiration for me. My prayers go out to you and your family for the best of health.
Have a very Merry Christmas Kelly
