A Busy Week

After a rough chemo day last week, Kelly has been feeling good. She has a busy week at CHOC this week. Tomorrow she has an appointment at the oncology clinic to see her doctor and have labs checked.

Then the big thing this week is her MRI. It was originally scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, but the Neurosurgery office called saying Dr. Muhonen was going to be out of the office that afternoon and needed to reschedule her. Since I really wanted to see him right after her MRI, his office called and rescheduled her MRI for the morning, then moved her appointment to the morning, so we could still come see him right away to go over the results with him. Thank you so much Yolanda! Prayers for a clear MRI are much appreciated!

Friday she has a chemo treatment all day. (Unless I can reschedule it to Monday, so she can enjoy some events she has coming up this weekend!) We'll see what her oncologist says in the clinic tomorrow!

Hey there, Team Kelly!! Glad to hear it's been a better week.

I'm a bit confused ... is the MRI today, Thursday, or Friday? I know it's NOT Wednesday ... OK, you know what? I just re-read, and it IS Wednesday, isn't it? lol ... Wednesday MORNING instead of afternoon. I get it (see, and I figured all that out after only a HALF cup of coffee!!!!)

I wish you the best, of course, and will be sending extra good juju your way for a great scan. Hope the labs are good, too.

Happy Tuesday!

Good morning Laude Family!
We are praying for an extra awesome super duper fabulous MRI result!!
I just got Kasey out of bed to enjoy a glass of sprite and or apple juice this morning. He isn't allowed to eat after 7:30. He isn't big on breakfast any more anyway, but knowing he "Can't" eat will make him want to all the more! So... I can totally relate with the buckets in every room. Even Colbey knows when to grab a bucket for his brother. We keep ours under the kitchen sink, sometimes under the coffee table, next to Kasey's bed.. ect. We will be thinking of you and sending hugs and prayers for you tomorrow. I know we had a date to be MRI'd on the same day.... we so totally cheated and went early. But, we are glad you didn't have to do the same.. so that means good things for you!
Have a good Tueday.. and a great Wednesday! Can't wait to hear the update tomorrow!!
Thanks Kathy for being so supportive!!! I am sorry you know more about this than me.. Cancer should've stopped after Kasey got it. But.. that's why we Relay.. for or future kids!
Sending hugs..
Amy... Kasey's mom

Prayers surround you, Kelly, as they do every day, but especially on the Chemo and MRI days. You are such a positive young lady and you have taught us all (even those of us who have QUITE a few years on you) how to deal with problems we face in our own lives. You are special.
Prayers for today and see you at the Relay for Life. GO TEAM KELLY!!!

Hi Kelly!
Both 4th grade classes prayed for you today (as we do every day) that your MRI will be clear tomorrow. They would love to meet you in person. Maybe some day before the end of the school year, if you're feeling up to it, you can stop by our school to say hi.
Can't wait to hear the results tomorrow! Love and hugs to your sisters and mom and dad (and Mandy, too).
God Bless You,
Laurie

Dear Kelly,

I just had an e-mail from your Aunt Denise. Your Dad just told her your MRI was clear. Now, go celebrate. And let me say a quick thank You, God!

Wow - sure glad I looked at the comments too. The time difference tends to make me antsy because I try to calculate when I think y'all should be home (which is always sooner than probably even possible when you knock the three hours off!). I am SO very happy to read Henry's post Kelly! Enjoy the good news :)
