A Note from Kelly

Hey, this is Kelly. I just want everyone to know I feel pretty good right now. Recovery from surgery was not that bad. I am thankful for my friend, Katie Flaherty, who has shared her own experience with me so I know I am not the only one going through this. Thanks Katie! I am so glad to have you as my friend. You have made this so much easier for me.

I love to hear from people, I just don't want anyone to feel sorry for me. I just want to be treated like normal. Thanks for taking time to read my story. Feel free to leave comments for me! I do enjoy them. Right now, I just don't want to talk on the phone too much. Just email me or post comments on this website.
My email address is mustluvmoose586@aim.com

Dear Kathy,
Thanks for starting a website to keep us posted. I have resisted calling you because I know how crazy it gets with all the well-wishers, but I want you to know that Kelly and your family are constantly in our thoughts and prayers. We are here for you, the girls and Kevin. Also, my dad is on stand-by for emergency handy-man needs while Kevin is out of town.

Kelly-
I know it's been a while since I have talked to you, but i want you to know that you are alwyas in my heart. I was reading the new Harry Potter book last night and it just hit me. I remember when I was babysitting you, Megan and Shannon and I would sit on the floor reading the earlier books with you. I know you will be fine with all of this. You have always been a very strong young lady. If there is anything that you or your family need from me let me know. I am just a phone call or an e-mail away.
Love

Kelly,

My name is Jim and I am the pastor of a church here in Mission Viejo called the Rising Tide (www.the-rising-tide.org). We heard about you from Sarah Lonsert and I just wanted to let you know that I will be forwarding this website to our church family. We are praying for you Kelly. Last night at our meeting, we took time out to pray for you specifically. I am glad to have this website so I can learn more about your situation and so that our church family can be praying more specifically for you. You are not alone, but I am sure that you already know that. We know that God can do amazing things and we will continue to lift you up in prayer!

Hi Kelly!
Seeing your pictures and reading your letter is how I know that our Lord really loves us and cares about every detail of our lives! He knows how many hairs are on your head, knows how you feel, what you need, and wants to bless you immensely. Remember that He will never leave you nor forsake you, and even made a way for your dad to come home and be comforted in being closer to you and your family. I hope that you and your family know His peace during this journey that you are on and that you will be stronger than ever because of it:> I am sure that the Lord needs sweet girls like you to reach out and comfort others in your situation. You are a special person. Prayers for strength, healing, and peace.

Hey Kelly,
You look great! I would love to hear how you are enjoying Harry Potter. We are loving it. Definitely a differnet tone to it! We went to the party at Borders on Friday night and had fun! Wish you and your family could have been there. We're enjoying summer. I'll let Anthony, Michael and Maria tell you about their summer in their comments. Hang in there. I know that you will keep your beautiful smile shining. We love you ! :)

Hi Kelly,

So glad the surgery went well. I miss seeing your sweet face at school.

Wasn't "Hairspray" fantastic? I couldn't stop dancing in my seat and I think Holly was a little embarrassed by me.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help your time pass by more enjoyably until you can be back at school. I'm praying for you all the time.

lots of love and hugs,
Mrs. Doherty

Dear Kelly,
Your Dad told us that your Mom set up a blog for you. I'll have to teach your Poppie how to blog. I'm now back a work and have access to a computer. It was great seeing your Dad in Virginia. I'm so glad that the postman finally got your Harry Potter to you. Your Dad said that you were already half way through. It's great so see pictures of you and your sisters. You are so beautiful (inside and out) and so "spunky" (I'm not spunky myself just a little stubborn and cranky -- I'm "stranky"). Be strong. Love and hugs and kisses to you (your Mom and siters too)
Love always Aunt Denise
