Kelly is still in the hospital. The bleeding seems under control and they aren't too worried because she has no pain with it. Her fever is keeping her here. We originally thought we'd be there just one night, but that was the night her fever became high. Fevers in oncology kids are serious and must be treated. She is still on IV antibiotics and they want to keep an eye on her until tomorrow. So she is getting a lot of rest and fluids. She still feels a little nauseous and as she says "wiped out." Hopefully she'll feel better this weekend by the time we go home on Sunday.
Kevin is in New Jersey for his high school reunion. Of course it had to be this weekend, amazing timing. Everytime Kelly is inpatient, he is not home the whole time. He did delay his flight for a day after she was so sick on Wednesday night. By the time he left, she was doing better and we knew she would be OK.
Thank you to those of you leaving comments for us, it helps more than you know, especially times like this. It really cheers Kelly up when she is feeling yucky, to know people are thinking about her and leave a little note in comments (It helps me a lot too!) It gets lonely in the hospital. She hasn't wanted visitors until yesterday afternoon, so if you like to come see her, she would like that now. You can call me on my cell phone first. Thanks for all the prayers and good wishes for Kelly!

Hi Kelly!
I am sorry you are still in hospital. If I was there I would come visit in a heartbeat but by the time I walk from Maryland to California you would surely be home! I have spent the morning looking for Christmas flowers to send you as a "get well" without much luck - they always said people in California were crazy but I guess not as much as we here think!
Love,
Pat
Dear Kelly,
What's this? I can log on TWO days in a row? How special is that?!
The story of your fever brings back memories. After surgery, I had to have an absolutely NORMAL temperature for 48 hours before my surgeon would consider sending me home. The readings would be normal until 4:30 in the afternoon. Then my temperature would rise. The nurses even had a name for it. They called it "The Sundown Effect." Then, after 10 or 11 days, it would be normal, and Dr. Craig would come by and say: "Henry, how'd you like to get out of here?" I told him I'd kiss Miss Harrio if I had to. (She was the only mean nurse on the floor). He said he doubted I would have to do anything THAT drastic.
I hope you get home soon. I'm sure Murphy misses you.
Take care,
Henry
Hey Kelly,
We are praying for you. You are so amazing, you're a rock (of course you rock!) We look forward to receiving more of your fun email posts. So how many patients have you added to your "fan club"? Hang in there and know that you are loved by so many people! Rest and take care of yourself, you'll be back on track soon! Be nice to Mom, she's probably tired and looking forward to you going home as much as you! Maria wanted you to know that Pandas rule! :)
Hi Kelly!
I hope you'll be feeling better soon. I saw "The Producers" a couple days ago, and I thought of you. [You were the one who originally told me to watch it. Thank goodness you did! :)] My family thinks of you often. Hopefully I'll see you back at school soon!
God Bless!

Hi Kelly,
So sorry to hear that you've been having a lousy week, although the clear MRI certainly is wonderful news. You need to get out of that hospital soon, so you can go celebrate your good MRI news! We're looking forward to seeing more cute pictures of you and Murphy! We're going to be "kitten shopping" in a couple more weeks, since our beautiful Lexie died this summer. We decided to wait until hurricane season was over before getting another one. Good thing we did! Hope you feel better soon!!!
Love,
The Silvestris
I think the staff at CHOC just wants to keep you around because you're such a great patient! Make sure they're not putting a heating pad under your covers to keep your temperature high!! :)
I sure wish we lived closer so we could just pop on by to say hello and to give you a big hug!!!
Call any time day or night!
Lots of love and hugs to everyone,
Aunt Jenny, Uncle Bob, Kylie and Ryan
Hi Kelly,

Good Morning Kelly & Kath!
I think Aunt Jenny may be right - so make sure you check for hot water bottles hiding under the covers! I can understand why they want you around to brighten up the hospital- but I hope you get to go home as planned today!
Love you!

Hi Kelly,
We love reading the posts, and catching up on you latest adventures.... This adventure (Hospital stay) is not one we want you to continue with, good news from the Doctors, now get you rear out of there! On the more serious note, we wish a speedy exit from the Hopistal and better days ahead, keep the bucket count low, and spirits up... as others have said "you Rock girl". We will keep checking, you girls keep posting! Lots of Prayers coming your way.
Hi Kelly! In the morning I like the time difference; at nite I am not quite so fond of it because y'all are up much later than I. I hope you and your Dad are both safe and sound and feeling well at home! I will check again in the AM. Sleep tight - wonder what that means exactly?
Love,
Pat and Gabby (who managed to take up the entire bed last nite despite being smaller than Mr. Murphy :)) I hope for your sake Mr. Murphy is a much more cooperative and accomodating animal ^..^
Glad you made it home and are all together again! Now the Turner's are missing Murphy - the pups here are looking for him! Hugs to all! and sweet puppy kisses!
